PAN Talents Filmskole
er en filmskole for unge talenter bak kamera.
PAN Talents Filmskole er en kunstfaglig filmskole og talentutviklingsprogram som skal forberede deltagerne til høyere utdanning og kunstnerisk arbeid. Skolen holder til i Oslo og er åpen for alle men har et særskilt fokus på å rekruttere minoriteter i alderen 18-26 år samt fremme større mangfold. Vi er per i dag et pilotprosjekt med støtte fra: Norsk Filminstitutt, Viken Filmsenter (prosjektutvikling), Filmkunstskolen i Lofoten, og Nordic Black Xpress. I staben har vi idag noen av de mest kompetente lærerkreftene fra film, tv og kunst. Utdanningsløpet skjer over 13. workshoper og helgesamlinger i perioden 2024-2025, og består av teori og praktisk arbeid. Elevene arbeider må beregne å arbeide med øvelser også mellom samlingene.
Vårt mål er å være en etablert ettårig filmskole innen 2026. Vi vil utvikle og følge opp unge voksne talenter og minoriteter for at de skal utvikle og vokse som sterke og profesjonelle artister og filmskapere. Med forståelse og tålmodighet vil vi utvikle individene som enten blir ignorert, ikke finner den rette muligheten, plassen, oppmerksomheten eller det rette hjemmet de leter etter. PAN Talents Filmskoles visjon er å etablere et langvarig og bærekraftig program som skal skape et trygt rom hvor elevene kan vokse som mennesker og uttrykke seg fullt ut.

Mira Adoumier (1985, New York) is a Lebanese and French filmmaker, artist, researcher and member of the collective The Camelia Committee. Adoumier is also teaching students at Filmkunstskolen i Lofoten. Growing in eight different countries, she started her studies majoring in philosophy and psychology at the American University of Beirut. In 2011, she went on to studying and practicing filmmaking at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University in Montreal. The following years, she worked in both production and postproduction of independent films in both Montreal and Beirut while starting to film her debut feature Errans. In 2018, she became a researcher at the Netherlands Film Academy, completing her master's degree in filmmaking in 2021. In the meantime, her first feature film, Errans premiered at CPH:DOX 2020 in the next:wave competition. Beginning of that year, she and her colleagues writer and editor Carine Doumit and filmmaker Nour Ouayda founded the collective The Camelia Committee. Her interdisciplinary practice, combining visual and performative arts, fictional and documentary approach at the bridge between art and cinema gave her the opportunity to show her work in exhibition spaces as well as in theatres. She is currently working on a documentary short film in collaboration with Jaap Pieters as well as a second feature film, The Night Came About, co-written with her collaborator Carine Doumit from the Camelia Committee and produced by Jia Zhao from Muyi films (NL).

Kjell Vassdal started up in 1976 as Cinematographer after 2 years education of high school in Norway. During his first 9 years he did a lot of short films beside focus-pulling on several feature films. Vassdal shot his first feature film in 1985. Since then he have shot more than 30 feature films in both Norway and abroad (Sweden, Russia, Morocco, UK, Egypt, and Iraq). Vassdal have also shot several TV-series, more than 350 commercials and around 50 short films. Since 2009 he have been head of the Cinematography education at the Norwegian Filmschool beside working as a Cinematographer.

Jørund Fluge Samuelsen er førsteamanuensis ved Kristiania og underviser i Låtskriving og musikkproduksjon. Samuelsen har en stor katalog som musiker, artist, låtskriver, tekstforfatter og musikkprodusent og har undervist ved Lyd- og musikkproduksjon ved Noroff fagskole i Oslo. Som produsent har han produsert både spellemannsprisvinnere og folkelarmprisvinnere. Hans musikk til spillefilmen Alle hater Johan fra 2022 vant Amanda for beste originalmusikk.

Knut Åsdam (28. august 1968) er en kunstner, filmskaper, forfatter, og Professor på Filmkunstskolen i Kabelvåg ved UiT. Han anvender film, video, fotografi, tekst, lyd og arkitektur.
Livet i dagens urbane samfunn og forhold mellom subjektivitet, begjær, avvik og maktstrukturer er tilbakevendende temaer i Åsdams kunst. I filmer som har en åpen kreativ form og som går fra det realistiske til det bizarre og kunstige, undersøker han psykologiske og materielle effekter på subjektivitet i et samfunn i forandring. Åsdam er opptatt av nye fortellerformer og å utvikle film som medie, og bruker både dokumentariske og fiktive elementer i arbeidene.
Åsdam representerte Norge på bla Venezia-biennalen i 1999, og har bla hatt separatutstillinger på Nasjonalmuseet/museet for samtidskunst, Astrup Fearnley Museet, Festspillutstillingen på Bergen Kunsthall, Tate Britain, Kunsthalle Bern, og stilt ut på Istanbul Biennial, PS1/MOMA, New York, Moderna museet i Stockholm samt Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. Han har hatt retrospektiv av sine filmer på Tate Modern, London, og The International House Cinemas i Philadelphia, og i 2007 var han fokuskunstner på Rotterdam Filmfestival som viste alle hans film og video-verk i tillegg til noen installasjoner og graffitiarbeider. Han er medstifter av Filmbyrået Jack og produksjonsselskapet VideoNova, og med i Aksjon for filmkunst. Han driver Oblique Institute som er et produksjonsfirma for ny film og filmkultur.

Elisa Fernanda Pirir was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. She moved to Northern Norway in 2007 and there she started participating in film productions. She produced her first feature film at the age of 23. The film got a limited release run of screenings in movie theaters. Thus, this film made her one of the youngest producers of feature films in Norway. In 2016, her graduation film from the National Film School of Norway “Generation Mars” got nominated for the 43th Academy Student Award. The film became a finalist for the 60th CINE Golden Eagle Award and also represented Norway as nominee for the CILECT Prize.
Before coming to Norway, Elisa represented Guatemala at the Olympic Games in Biology and Mathematics winning the silver medal in Biology in a regional competition in 2014, being the only female participant going to the National Competition. She has also played marimba since she was nine years old.
Elisa has been working with several acclaimed international directors such as Thomas Arslan, Ciro Guerra, Cristina Gallego, Nabil Ayouch, César Díaz, Jonas Poher Rasmussen, Laura Mora, Carlos Reygadas, in addition to some of Norway’s most acclaimed directors.
She is a Berlinale Talents, Guadalajara Talents, EAVE, Rotterdam Lab and EWA alumni. In 2023, she was selected as the Norwegian Producer on the Move in Cannes. She has among others been working as a curator for Oslo Pix film festival 2021 and part of the official Amanda Jury (Norwegian Oscars), commissioner advisor at the Council of Arts for short films and documentaries 2021-2024, jury member for Tromsø Film Festival, San Sebastian International Film Festival “New Directors” and is in the official commission for film festivals in Norway.
In 2023, she founded her own company STÆR together with producer Ragna Midtgard in the arctic city of Tromsø in Northern Norway. STÆR aims to develop, produce, and co-produce independent feature films and documentaries of high artistic quality and relevance.

Mette Cheng Munthe-Kaas is an Emmy-nominated and award-winning CEO, producer, and editor of feature documentaries. With over 20 years of experience in the field, she founded her own production company, Ten Thousand Images AS (TTI) in 2014. Through TTI, she has produced & co-produced over 10 Feature Length Documentaries in addition to several short docs. Her previous films as producer include the award-winning NO WORD FOR WORRY (2014), IDFA-Winner NOWHERE TO HIDE (2016) and the Oscar-shortlisted HIDDEN LETTERS (2022). Gunn Tove Grønsberg har lang erfaring som lyddesigner og mikser. Hun har gjort lyddesign på en rekke spillefilmer, dramaserier, kortfilmer, novellefilmer, dokumentarer og eksperimentell film. Hun har blant annet gjort lyden på den Oscarvinnende dokumentarfilmen The Act of Killing (2012). I 2012 ble hun nominert til Kanonprisen for beste lyddesign på spillefilmen Som du ser meg, hun ble nominert til Amanda for beste lyddesign for Knerten (2010), Natt til 17 (2014), og fikk Amanda for beste lyddesign for Harajaku (2019). Samme år var hun nominert til Gullruten for beste lyddesign på dramaserien «Heimebane s2». Hun har også samarbeidet med samtidskunstneren Tori Wrånes og produsert lyddesign til utstillingen «Hot Pocket» i 2017.
I tillegg underviser Gunn Tove i lyddesign på Den Norske Filmskolen og Filmkunstskolen i Kabelvåg. Hun ble uteksaminert fra lydlinjen på Den norske filmskolen i 2006, og samme år ble eksamensfilmen Isola premiert med Dolby-prisen ved Kortfilmfestivalen i Grimstad.
Gunn Tove er opptatt av å fortelle med lyd i film gjennom å få kontakt med karakterene, og prosessene de går gjennom.

Liew Ceng Teng is a Malaysian, now living in Norway as a filmmaker, composer, sound engineer and musician in Oslo. Best known for his Winter Song. Liew has mastered a wide array of musical genres reflected in many different styles such as pop, rock, blues, jazz, fusion, soul, folk, New Age, classical, country and western. Liew was born in Malaysia, Perak, Taiping. The eldest son of the 3 children in a working class family who lived in a 1-room house which also functioned as his father's workshop. Liew has always loved music, according to his mother already from he was a baby. Liew started to learn playing guitar influenced by his parents. That created a unique environment for his childhood caused by the father's passion for 60/70's western music and the mother's favorite music, Hong Kong and Taiwanese pop songs. Spring 2009, Liew fell in love with a Norwegian man and the love gave him the strength to come out as gay. After a while he moved to Norway and is now married to his man.
2010, Liew started running his own studio in Oslo, Norway, and he is still composing and recording music. In 2015 he got his Bachelor in Audio Engineering. He also started with film production making his first documentary film Trio-Trio (a music documentary) released in 2016 and premiered at the New York Jazz Film Festival. 2019, he made a documentary about the Norwegian gay rights movement through 60 years with Kim Friele, a pioneer and activist, and Wenche Lowzow, a member of Parliament.
